When one hears Artificial Intelligence, the mind first registers robots. But that’s not all there is to artificial intelligence. Think of artificial intelligence, think of human intelligence. The difference is that machines execute tasks in a manner that mimics human intelligence. An example is a machine that responds and executes a given task; Siri.

 Artificial Intelligence (AI) has come to give humans a life devoid of hard labor. Human efforts are rather simplified and better decisions are made. With the use of artificial intelligence, companies are becoming efficient with less strain and stress.

Applications of Artificial Intelligence

  1. Digital Personal Assistant
    Smartphones and laptops use AI to give personalized services. Siri and Alexa are examples. They accomplish tasks, answer questions, and help organize routines.
  2. Translations
    There are AI-based language translation software. They provide subtitles to languages. This helps users to understand other languages.
  3. Administrative Tasks
    Artificial Intelligence provides services like automated personalized messages, grading paperwork, taking online courses, and organization of routines.
  4. Autonomous Cars
    Car manufacturing companies use machine learning to train computers to act like humans in terms of driving. This can be seen in self-driving cars.
  5. Facial Recognition
    In terms of security, Artificial Intelligence is used in doors, phones, laptops, and PCs. This provides secure access to one’s privacy.
  6. Health- Telemedicine
    AIs have expanded into the Health sector. They can read CT and MRI scans at a much faster rate than humans. They can analyze one’s symptoms and report back on possible health issues. Most times, they profer solutions. AIs operate on a high level of accuracy. This enables them to assist in surgery- Robot-Assisted Surgery.
  7. Customer Service
    AIs are used by industries and companies to send automated messages to customers.

Other areas that Artificial Intelligence has been applied include:
Spam filters
Fraud Prevention
Cyber security
Plagiarism Checker
Online shopping
Gaming
Social Media Insight

 There's a difference between Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Intelligence;

Artificial Intelligence replaces human labor and treads on high accuracy. Augmented Intelligence helps humans rather than replacing them.
In terms of decision making and production, Artificial Intelligence does all the work. Augmented Intelligence offers collaborative assistance.

The Advantages of Artificial Intelligence include:

Efficiency and Effectiveness
Faster and Accurate Decision Making

 With Artificial Intelligence, tasks are completed faster and more accurately. Artificial Intelligence has given humans, life at a platter of gold as there's no hard labor and less strain. Artificial Intelligence is an entity capable of performing tasks without explicitly being instructed to do so.
